Digipak feedback for Luella

Here are some of the feedback we received-

Harry - Good theme of red throughout. Words are a bit hard to read on the bottom left and song list. Think name could be put on front cover. Nice use of red smoke on CD. Good clean photos used. Think white backgrounds should be changed to black, as this will match the whole digi pack more.

Lollie - I really like the front cover, all of the photos are really pretty so it is appealing for people to look at. I don’t think the font of the song list really works and the rose in the corner is a bit random. I like the red smoke/water colour I think it changes it up a bit. I like the colour scheme but the reds need to be changed so that they are all the same colours.


Kelsey - First of all, I think all the pictures are really successful and are extremely beautiful, showing innocence but also quite an edgy vibe.
I like the theme of red because you are obviously in your music video following the love story of a couple – and red matches the theme of hearts and love. Additionally, the red also relates to the danger, the danger of how the girl in the music video has her heart broken. I think it looks really successful how the artist is wearing black in all the pictures, so it isn’t distracting. However, im struggling to read the fourth picture with the red writing due to the font and the colour. You could maybe try changing the font of white and an easy to read font. You could also put the font bigger so it is easier to read due to the curly nature of the writing.

Charlotte - I like the red and black theme as this synergises with your music video and also your website. I also like how you have used the roses in your digipack, website and music video. I think the CD picture and the picture of the red smoke are a bit too similar to be next to each other and should maybe be separated with another photo or something or edit one slightly to differentiate it more. I like how you have written the song titles as I think the white writing stands out from the red and black in the picture. The writing on the photo with the pond doesn’t stand out and is hard to read, in terms of the font and the colour, the font should be the same as the song titles is simpler and looks better. There needs to be something behind the CD cover because in all the other photos they are dark and then you have two photos on the top right that are very light and it’s quite random.

After going through all the feedback I have highlighted the main issues with our digipak, through doing this I now know what needs to be added, changed or re-done. The most common issue was the writing and how they all seem to struggle when it comes the reading it. The problem is both the colour and the font, I will take on the suggestions with changing some to black and seeing if the outcome is better. All of the red colours need to be changed so that they are all of the same shade and so it is not so 'random'.

DIGI REVIEW

MYA - Love the synergy, really works with the look they are trying to get across. Gives a really quirky and original look to Mya. Definitely prefer the first digipak as Lollie looks so good a professional. Second digipak is less eye-catching.  LEVEL 3

STELLATO STAR – Really like the theme throughout the digipak as it matches the video exactly. Also really highlights the fun, party side to Stellato which is great to draw the audience in. Fab editing skills! The CD hole is too big, only criticism!!!! LEVEL 3

TORI – Think Alicia looks sooooo good and all the pictures are amazing however I think it should not be black and white because it dulls the images down and they have too much potential and would look so much better in colour. LEVEL 3

SEMPA – Like the pictures but think the colours don’t go with the rap style of the video. It creates a nice happy look but the video is completely different and more serious. Although love the different edits on the pictures! LEVEL 3

HEIDI – Love the style of your digipak I think it really suits your artist and gives a cute and fun look for her. The colours are really nice and vibrant. Although can barely read the writing on the left picture. LEVEL 3

ANNIKA – Quite a basic look, think it could look better if you did all six boxes so that we could see more pictures of Annika. Good synergy. LEVEL 2

AVA – Really like how original your digipak is, makes it really eye-catching and pretty, good synergy and editing of pictures. Only bad thing is that there is only on the actual CD. PREFER THE RED ONE. LEVEL 3

AVENUE – Really like the 3 pictures of the guys in top however it makes it confusing with all the writing over their faces. Other than that I think it is really great as it highlights their synergy and how the guys are really like. LEVEL 3

IURIS – Love the funky style to your digipak, makes it really interesting to look at. I think the pictures should possibly need to be bigger as it makes them harder to really see them. LOVE the CD. LEVEL 3

IVORY – Really like all the pictures and the way you have styled your digipak, looks professional! However I think the images could reflect her as more scary like how she is in her music video. Other than that it looks amazing. LEVEL 3
