Props for music video

After deciding we are going to perform the recreation of the Man Don't Care as our prelim task I collected all the props for the selected time use. We have a ski mask because I have one at home, I'm borrowing a snap back off of Charlie weeks, Evan said he had a wand we could borrow for the video, We were going to borrow a basic school laptop, we will use one of the group members IPhone, our teacher has black and white handkerchief in her prop box, I will borrow one of my school mates car keys, our teacher also said she would bring in alphabet squares and we need a big group of people to come in wearing black.

Unfortunately we were unable to get a ski mask so had to use a scarf instead, however this was not noticeable in the video so did not cause any major problems. All other equipment's needed were easy to get to as we just had to ask around for who had what and sorted it out within seconds. Luckily we chose a video with easy objects which were mostly used in daily living situations so we did not need to buy any excess things.

Storyboard for 'Man Don't Care'

This is our story board for "Man Don't Care". Most of the shots within the video are mid shots or close ups. Most of the transitions within the video are also basic cuts except for one wipe down which will be easy to do on adobe premiere. I also need to find out how to do cloning on adobe premiere because that is featured in the video and I also need to figure out how to do a fire effect because it will be too dangerous to actually set fire to a microphone.

I found the storyboard doesn't usually help me as the situation changes when you start to film as objects get in the way and situations have to be changed. However although we changed a few things I found that having the storyboard gave us a good outline of what we needed to do step by step. In the real music video I will make sure that the storyboard contains more detail, including times and stop starts. This will help us more if we get lost along the way and lose track of what we are doing. People should be colour coded to help you realise who is playing what and where they should be at that exact moment. Also more detail in the description will be added in, such as step by step movements so that there is no moment where we are unsure of what we need to do.
